The Annual Diocesan Treble Choir Festival brings children from around the New York City metro area together in song. The day long festivities culminate in a Festal Choral Evensong in the Great Choir of the Cathedral.
Following the astounding performance of Verdi’s Requiem in 2015, Great Music in a Great Space is proud to continue our collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York in a presentation of Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony. Often referred to as “The Symphony of a Thousand,” this symphony calls for a gargantuan orchestra, an off-stage brass ensemble, two SATB choirs, a children’s choir, and eight soloists.
