The Cathedral Choir, Chorale, and Choristers are join by orchestra for the moving Christmas Mass service. The service will feature Mozart’s Coronation Mass and other seasonal carols.
The Cathedral Choir, Orchestra, and Soloists are joined by guests Judy Collins, Jason Robert Brown, and host Harry Smith for this beloved Cathedral event, founded by Leonard Bernstein in 1984. The annual New Year’s Eve Concert for Peace has gathered old friends and new for more than a quarter of a century. This year we honor the legacy of Leonard Bernstein with a performance of his Chichester Psalms, a profound work that is sure to inspire a spirit of peace in the audience as we begin a New Year together, renewed in hope for the world we share.

The Annual Diocesan Treble Choir Festival brings children from around the New York City metro area together in song. The day long festivities culminate in a Festal Choral Evensong in the Great Choir of the Cathedral.
Following the astounding performance of Verdi’s Requiem in 2015, Great Music in a Great Space is proud to continue our collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York in a presentation of Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony. Often referred to as “The Symphony of a Thousand,” this symphony calls for a gargantuan orchestra, an off-stage brass ensemble, two SATB choirs, a children’s choir, and eight soloists.

The choirs of the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College will present Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in the celebrated version for two pianos and percussion. The Conservatory Singers will present a program of choral music from each faith that has a claim to the Holy Land.
Merriweather is the baritone soloist in Paul Moravec’s “Songs of Love and War.”
A concert affirming CONCORA’s continued commitment to new music, presenting works by composers commissioned by Chris over the years; several works are set to poems from the Harlem Renaissance. Composers include Gwyneth Walker, William Hawley, Ricky Ian Gordon, Michael Conley, Philip Jameson, Paul Moravec and Robert Convery. Come be surprised and delighted.
